
Kyle Carlson
Kyle Carlson was elected to the Clive Community Foundation Board in 2020 for a term beginning in January 2021. He is originally from Waverly, Iowa, but has been living in Clive since 2015 with his wife (Jenna) and two children (Lily, 8 and Logan, 4).
Kyle’s professional experience has centered on health care in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. He is currently Sr. Government Relations Director for Anthem (d/b/a Amerigroup Iowa) and prior to that was Community Relations Director for Magellan Health. He also spent seven years in public policy and legal roles with Planned Parenthood of the Heartland. Kyle has been an attorney in Iowa since 2006.
In addition to his service with the CCF, Kyle has been serving on the city’s Board of Adjustments since 2018 and is currently vice chair. He also previously served as the chair of the Generation Iowa Commission, in a board leadership role with the Iowa Men’s Action Network, and as president of a commercial resort association in northern Minnesota.
Kyle holds a B.A. from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and his J.D. and MPA from Drake University.
