On Saturday, October 2, the Clive Community Foundation presented a check to the Clive Lions Club in the amount of $1,500 recognizing their service to our community and to thank them for making a difference in the lives of many of our friends and neighbors.
The Clive Lions was first chartered in 1977. Their long history of giving back to the community is well known. For many years they have conducted their Holiday Basket Program where needy families receive household goods, food, and toys for the children.
In 2020, gift cards were given out in place of the baskets due to the Covid pandemic.
The good news is that the Holiday Basket Program will be resurrected in 2021!
This announcement, made by organization President, Brad Brown, is good news for those less fortunate in our community.
This is also an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for what the Clive Lions Club has done and to support them in this endeavor.
If you would like to make a donation to the Clive Lions you can do that by sending a check payable to the Clive Community Foundation and note the check is for the Clive Lions Club.
