Clive Community Foundation Grant Application Period Opens Aug. 1
CLIVE, IOWA – July 16, 2019 – The Clive Community Foundation (CCF) will begin accepting grant requests from qualifying organizations starting August 1, 2019. Fund requests will be accepted through October 1, with financial awards granted in early December.
The Foundation plays a key role in providing grants to not-for-profit organizations whose needs specifically align with the organization’s mission and priorities to strengthen Clive and its neighboring communities. Priority will be given to Clive-based organizations, with strong applications demonstrating a measurable impact to the citizens of Clive.
“Since our formation in 2013, we have researched where the community is underserved and built solid relationships with organizations to meet the needs of the greater Clive community,” said Scott Cirksena, board president. “It is always rewarding to distribute funds each December that directly benefit the community through innovative programs led by hometown experts. The infrastructure we have in place to distribute gifts and connect donors to causes they find valuable is inspiring.”
Additionally, many of the gifts to the Clive Community Foundation may qualify for an Endow Iowa Tax Credit. Priority focus areas of CCF include improving:
• Quality of Life – investments in Clive’s greenbelt, parks and trails, including the development of public art and educational programming.
• Health & Wellness – funding local outreach that benefits low-income Clive residents, including providing food assistance, nutrition and health management programs and working with local agencies that offer these services.
• Community Collaboration – working in tandem with existing Clive organizations, as well as Clive’s neighboring cities and foundations in and around central Iowa.
