Clive Community Foundation Grant Application Period Opens Aug. 1
CLIVE, IOWA – July 10, 2017 – The Clive Community Foundation (CCF) will begin accepting grant requests from qualifying organizations starting August 1, 2017. Fund requests will be accepted through October 1, with financial awards granted in early December.
The CCF plays a key role in providing grants to non-profit organizations whose needs specifically align with the organization’s mission and priorities to strengthen the Clive and neighboring communities.
“For the past four years, we have conducted research, built relationships and developed an infrastructure to define Clive’s priorities to meet underserved needs,” said Jon Garnaas, board president. “We promote giving and connect donors with the causes they care about. And most importantly, many of the gifts to CCF may qualify for an Endow Iowa Tax Credit.”
The primary areas of focus for CCF include improving:
• Quality of Life – investments in Clive’s greenbelt, parks and trails, including the development of public art and educational programming.
• Health & Wellness – funding local outreach that benefits low-income Clive residents, including providing food assistance, nutrition and health management programs and working with local agencies that offer these services.
• Community Collaboration – working in tandem with existing Clive organizations, as well as Clive’s neighboring cities and foundations in and around central Iowa.
